"The de.NBI Galaxy Metagenome Training Course 2026 attracted 248 participants across two days, making it the largest de.NBI online training outside the Galaxy Training Academy. Organizers Paul Zierep, Daniel Wibberg, Nils Kleinbölting, and Tom Tubbesing covered metagenomics theory and hands-on Galaxy use, with Day 1 focusing on introduction and Day 2 on amplicon analysis using DADA2. Feedback indicated demand for longer WGS sessions; the next course will expand to three days. A joint Galaxy–CloWM project for the German Biohackathon is under discussion."
