Metabolon and Michael J. Fox Foundation Partner for Multiomic Parkinson's Biomarker Discovery (metabolon.com)
- Metabolon and MJFF collaborate on multiomic analysis of PPMI cohort for Parkinson's biomarkers.
- Project is part of LRRK2 Investigative Therapeutics Exchange (LITE) program.
- Analysis will include metabolomics, lipidomics, and proteomics from plasma, urine, and CSF samples.
- Goal: identify biomarkers for patient stratification and target engagement in LRRK2-targeted therapies.
"Metabolon announced a collaboration with The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) to conduct multiomic analyses on the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) cohort. The project, part of MJFF's LRRK2 Investigative Therapeutics Exchange (LITE) program, will use Metabolon's Global Discovery Platform to analyze plasma, urine, and CSF samples. The goal is to identify biomarkers and biological pathways related to Parkinson's disease, especially LRRK2 activity, and to support patient stratification and target engagement in clinical trials."
