"Metabolon Inc. has been selected by the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) to profile plasma metabolomics biomarkers using its Global Discovery Panel. The initial phase will assay 4000 samples from CKB, one of the world's largest cohort studies examining lifestyle, environmental, genetic, and socioeconomic factors in common diseases. The metabolomic data will be integrated with existing genotyping and proteomics data. The partnership aims to address underrepresentation of non-European ethnic groups in population health research and support future scaling of metabolomics in diverse cohorts."
