"Illumina announced the commercial launch of Illumina Protein Prep, an NGS-based assay measuring 9,500 human proteins using SOMAmer technology. The assay is designed for high-throughput proteomics on NovaSeq platforms, with DRAGEN software for data analysis. Early-access customers have processed over 30,000 samples using the 6K assay. A pilot study with Genomics England reported a 7.5% increase in diagnostic yield for rare diseases. The launch follows Illumina's planned acquisition of SomaLogic and strengthens its multiomics strategy."
